I guess we already know what JYP Nation is, it's a name given to artists/groups under JYP Entertainment. They all are Wonder Girls, 2AM, 2PM, MissA, SanE, JJ Project, Baek Ah Yeon, and 15&. It's like SM Entertainment with SM Town and YG Entertainment with YG Family.
A few months ago i randomly clicked on some videos on youtube and suddenly watched a video about someone telling a story about the audition and trainee life in JYPE. It's all okay until i read some Q&A on his (i guess) formspring account. There's someone who asked him whether 2AM were still under JYPE or not, and he answered like "No, they already moved to another company". Well, I'm not sure about the exact question and answer as i can't backtrack it now, but let's just say it like that.
After i read that, i was like WHAT THE HECK ! I know that 2AM has been with Big Hit Entertainment for a long time but i thought it was just for their promotion, like MissA and AQE. Up until here I still believe my belief, 2AM is still part of JYP Nation as they still participating on JYP Nation Concert in Japan 2012.
But i kinda doubt my belief when JYPE twitter didn't even tweet a single thing about 2AM's new single and album, One Spring Day (오느 봄날). I tried to think positively. They probably don't have the rights to promote it. Probably it's all on Big Hit as we can see on BigHitEnt twitter they do promote 2AM's and each member's activity a lot. Probably... Probably... Probably...
But why did you retweet AQE dear JYPE ? Why didn't you also retweet BigHit ?
Well, i'm not sure about the relationship between Miss A, JYPE, and AQE. I heard that AQE were the one who promote and manage their activity in China, but it seems like they also manage them in Korea. I don't know why but i feel like Miss A members are still part of JYPE or JYP Nation, but not for 2AM.
In some videos we can even see that 2AM do almost everything in BigHit building/studio. They practiced for their last year concert in BigHit studio not in JYPE. And on the first episode of We Got Married (Jinwoon & Junhee couple), we can see BigHit logo at the background of Jinwoon, Seulong, and Kwon when they chatted.
And finally i found this video. Kwon and Bang Si Hyuk (President of Big Hit Entertainment) explain everything here.
Kwon said "When we debuted with This Song, we were under JYPE management but Cube was handling the artist management. When it was A Friend's Confession, the artist management was done by JYPE. In 2010, during Can't Let You Go Even If I Die, artist management was under Big Hit until now". Honestly i don't really understand about what he said. I think he tried to say that 2AM is still under JYPE but the management is under Big Hit, right?
No matter what, thank God that JYP Nation itself still promote each other's work, include 2AM.
Here's the translation of Chansung's tweet, done by w2dtranslations. Sorry i don't know how to sort tweet, so you have to read it from the bottom to the top.
But my question got answered when Kwon, Changmin, Jia, and Yeeun had a performance with Akdong Musician on Kpop Star under the name of JYP Nation.
